Vermi-Farm Initiative

Vermi-Farm Initiative in Ongata Rongai drives agricultural progress through ecological farming solutions. The initiative combines vermicomposting with organic fertilizer production which creates dual benefits of reduced environmental harm and stronger soil health and climate change defense.

Financial inclusion stands as a primary strength of Vermi-Farm Initiative through its established dedication to the same. A total of 234 female and youth members have obtained accessible funding from the Vermi-Farm Adapt Finance Program in order to develop their agricultural operations and eliminate financial constraints.

The initiative addresses food security by creating Vermi-Farm Yetu Food Stations which reach 200 daily consumers living in Nairobi’s informal areas. The implementation of Vermi-Farm DigiShamba as low-cost smart greenhouses enables farmers to experience improved yields and sustainable modern farming practices.

Vermi-Farm Initiative propels sustainable economic farming through local empowerment systems and analyzes data for impactful community assessments to reach their sustainable economic goals.
